Since, it has a narrow blade and tiny tip, the utility knife works just fine for thin slicing, filleting and trimming of the food item.   • Kitchen Shears:

    The kitchen shears are not particularly kitchen knives but surely could be used in place of knives. It is basically a pair of sharp scissors with thick and sturdy blades that could easily handle some food items and cut them easily and evenly. The boning knives are usually 3 to 8 inches long with varying widths of the blade.
  • Cleaver Knife:

    You must have seen how professionals use big bulky knives to chop the meat, crush garlic and everywhere the weight is required. The Cleaver Knife is the bulkiest and heaviest knife you can buy for your kitchen. With no or little belly, the blade of the cleaver knife has thick spine and is quite wide. For squashing pumpkin and cutting meat through bones, the knife is widely used around.
